4th Annual Music on the Rocks visit!

This is the first of a few belated posts, and also the first of a few Larson-mania posts. :)  We've been so blessed to be able to spend time with Matt's family recently, and of course I have plenty of photographic proof!  Before I talk about their week with us in Denver, here's a recap of our trip down to Taos for the 4th annual Sipapu Music on the Rocks festival.  It was fun having the Larsons join us this time!

We got in on Friday evening and enjoyed the awesome pool at the hotel (all by ourselves, even!).  Benjamin was seriously in heaven.  He was loving "diving" and "jumping" into the water and the rest of us just loved relaxing :)

That evening we walked downtown and grabbed a very delicious mexican meal at La Cueva (new to us) - we'll be back for sure!  Mimi and Papa took Benjamin off to bed while Matt, my dad, and I enjoyed some live music and a beer at the Taos Inn.

Saturday morning we enjoyed brunch at Michael's and some more pool time before heading out to Sipapau... (not sure what happened to brunch pics... but it was fun!)

And wouldn't you know it, we got to Sipapu just in time for the clouds to open up and POUR rain down on the entire festival.  It never fails!!  The rain seemed to come down harder and harder every minute, but somehow everything let up by the time the family band got on stage!  I guess a little (or a LOT) of mud never hurt anyone :-)

Some of us stayed for the headliner, and he was AMAZING.  (Ryan McGarvey)  If you like seriously talented guitarists, you should check this guy out.  We had fun.

As usual, the band sounded great!  I was running around a lot and didn't get a ton of video... but here are a few:

Sunday morning (after lounging at the hotel for a bit) we walked down to the Plaza to enjoy a delicious brunch at our fave spot, Grahams.  Then, back to the pool of course!  It was a great time in Taos, that's for sure :)
