Spring Breakin' It, Part III

{Very delayed post.  Part I is HERE and part II is HERE.}
***

Six days in Palm Desert was exactly what this pregnant mama needed.  We had such a great time relaxing, going to the pool EVERY day, and I was able to catch up on the many hours of sleep I had been missing in my life.  Suzie and Steve were amazing hosts, their condo was gorgeous (right on a golf course), and we were lucky enough to have wonderful weather the whole time.

There were several pools within a block of the condo... lucky us!  Benjamin just LOVED it.  He wanted to jump in about a thousand times a day.  He had no fear!

Enjoying some time in the courtyard, catching up on the morning news...

The daily trek to and fro....

Eating dinner on the back patio/golf course...

Heading back to the pool, duh....

His favorite pool activity:

Shocker, more pool time...

And his other favorite activity, he was OBSESSED with jumping off the ledge:

Getting breakfast at the Club...

Trivial Pursuit... of course!

We took a fun trip to the Living Desert, a gorgeous (and huge) zoo built to look like natural habitats.  It was windy, but really fun!

Benjamin loved the trains almost as much (or more!) than the animals he saw!

Benjamin loved getting to pet the goats even though a few of them scared him!

They had a super fun kid playing area...

Dinner with Steve and Suzie!

Looking at pictures of Swedish relatives on Suzie's computer:

And of course, more pool....

Matt and I also celebrated our FIFTH wedding anniversary during the trip!  We went to a nice dinner by ourselves but snapped a family pic before heading out.  Steve and Suzie were kind enough to play with Benjamin and put him to bed.  They said he was a champ!

We found a really fun park nearby and visited it one morning...

Heading to our last pool visit :(

And surprise!  We found out my cousin Nathaniel was at a law convention about three miles away (oops!!) - so we were able to swing by and see him on the way out of town.

Then it was back to Colorado, driving through the night.  Wheeee......
