So, at 11:30pm on Friday night, we packed up the car and hit the road. We woke up Benjamin, plopped him in the carseat, and off we went. Was it fun having a toddler on a road trip? Hmm... not quite. ;) But thankfully he did much better than we thought (on the way there...).

We drove all the way to Vegas (through 3 snow storms) and took a short break in Vegas to stretch our legs.

Played some games and did some "rides" (he was a little too scared of the big rides) at Circus, Circus:
And of course, the best part: In-N-Out!
After another drive (about 4 more hours), Steve and Suzie had a wonderful room waiting for us in Palm Desert at their fabulous condo, and it beckoned our names! A week in the sun, laying by the pool, and not having to do much sounded simply heavenly to me....
