Last week we got to celebrate Avery with a fun outdoor bbq! Since the rest of our family has a birthday in the winter (Mom & Dad in December, and Benjamin in January), it was extra nice getting to hold a party outdoors :) We invited our supper group and neighbor buddies (and family, of course), and had an awesome (if not chaotic!) time together. Matt and I felt SO blessed looking around at all the people that had been there with us through the past year. People who had brought us meals, taken care of Benjamin, shared a glass of wine, let loose with the kids, encouraged us, prayed with/for us... it was a lot for me to take in! We're so very thankful to live where we do and to know the people we know. Our friends are our family in so many ways, and we just couldn't do this all without them.
Avery was having one of those "I don't like people" afternoons (not a great time for that!), but thankfully she warmed up once all her buddies arrived and had a great time. Here's some pics from my camera (and some phone pics at the end)... including a picture of the giant goose egg that Benjamin got from jumping in the bouncy house all of ten minutes into the party!
Happy birthday sweet girl, and thank you to all the folks who came to celebrate with us. We love you!
These are neighbor buddies... aren't we lucky!?
Grampa got to help with her evening treatment too!
Love.
