Great Strides 2016 (3 months late...)

We participated in the CF Foundation's Great Strides fundraiser again this year, and despite some pretty terrible weather (BRRRRRR), Avery's Army rocked it. It is always a hard thing asking people for donations, I don't think I'll ever get used to that part. But knowing that the funds we raise are helping to extend our daughter's life (through research, drug development, treatment development, therapies, etc.) makes it a whole lot easier. We'll never be able to explain how incredibly grateful we are to all these people for making this walk a part of their life. For taking Avery into their hearts and wallets. I mean, it is overwhelming just thinking about it.

The walk was back in May, and Avery had just cultured psuedomonas a few weeks earlier. And despite having to wake up early to fit a dreaded tobi treatment in, she made it and generally did a great job (ok, actually she was SUPER cranky and angry for the first hour we were there, but she slowly cheered up).  A HUGE thank you to everyone that made it out. We're eternally grateful.

Here's some pictures from the day! Oh, and Avery's Army, thanks to donations from friends and family near and far, raised over $7000! (And an extra special shout out to our amazing walkers in Michigan and Auntie Suzie for walking in Minnesota!)
