Supper Group Mountain Getaway

It's that time of year to post about another wonderful trip to the Nederland house with our Supper Group.  This year felt much different - older kids, fewer people... it felt so different!  But it was a wonderful getaway with our friends during a beautiful time of year when the Aspen leaves are breathtaking!  We say it a lot, but we really are so grateful for this group (even though we SO miss the two families now in Michigan.  And the Thomas family was just at a wedding this weekend and couldn't make it).  What would we do without these awesome people??

We arrived Friday at naptime, so we sent the kiddos in for a nap.  Thankfully Benjamin liked the bunk bed he was provided :)

Then we played outside waiting for more guests to arrive!

you can't tell, but this is a doll stroller - and it was the highlight of the weekend for all the kids! Benjamin and Adele took turns pushing each other the whole time :)

We found a zipline for the kiddos to use!

Taking a "hike" with kids is... interesting!

every needs to melt down about tall grass sometimes!

beautiful Maugel fam

The Hutchinsons!

Playing games on the deck...

Hanging out post nap time (everyone took naps!)...

Bri and Howie took the kiddos out to this beautiful overlook (and they loved shouting Echo!!)

Avery just hung out most of the time:

Setting up for dinner outside:

What a great group!

My favorite moment: Benjamin leading the prayer at supper time! "Dear Jesus, thank you for this food...." So sweet to a mama's ears!

And still hanging out:

Cake to celebrate our five year supper group anniversary (though, technically only a little over 4 years for Matt and I!)

Finding Nemo before bedtime:

Sunday morning I snapped a few pictures of Kristyn and Andrew (who will be having a baby any day now!).  How gorgeous are they??

Trying to get a picture of the kiddos is nearly impossible...

I snapped a quick pic of the Schulz family, and... gorgeous!

While we waited for the towels to dry after a few of the families and headed home, we made ourselves at home on the deck and enjoyed some cold pizza, leftover snacks, and the remaining beer.  It was a gorgeous morning and a perfect way to end the weekend!

These two were so well behaved!  We're so thankful they get along so well :)

Sweet kiddos and the zipline!
