Halloween

We didn't get extremely into Halloween this year, even though Benjamin is so old now that he knows everything that's going on and does like to plan for things.  But we bought his costume last year after Halloween (clearance!), and someone from Matt's work gave us a tiny-size costume for Avery, so we were basically set and only added buying candy to the Halloween list. :)

We did meet up at Matt's work once again to trick-or-treat (which was lots of fun, but of course getting TWO kids into the car and out to Louisville is nowhere near as easy as it was with one child).

If you're wondering, Matt was dressed as Margot from Despicable Me for his team's theme ;)

After we got home, we met up with Benjamin's girlfriend Adele for some neighborhood trick-or-treating - and Uncle Bryan came into town and got to go with us!!  It was so much fun seeing the kids get into it and go up to the houses all on their own (well with assistance from the dads) :) Turns out our street is a great place to trick-or-treat, and when we got home, we still were able to get rid of five bags of candy there were so many cute kiddos!

This is at Benjamin's favorite neighbor's house (Freddy) :)

can't quite tell, but this was Benjamin/Dino riding on Uncle Bryan's shoulders :)

After trick-or-treating and handing out candy, we went over to the annual Halloween party with our neighbors and had a blast letting the kids hang out and the grown ups have adult beverages. I wish I had taken pictures, but you can imagine a zoo with costumes, candy, and adult beverages, and you'll get the gist of it :)  We love our neighbors!!

Hope you and yours had a very happy Halloween!
