Random October Things (& Mimi's visit!)

{Beware: Photo dump from October}

October has come and gone, and I've been doing my normal job of taking a ton of (cell phone) pictures, but I've been doing a bad job about documenting them somewhere (namely, here).  So here's a big dump of random things we've been up to this Fall so far... not to mention pictures from Mimi's visit (I mean, seriously, best grandma ever!). :)

LOTS of football in the yard when dad gets home... Benjamin knows about four different positions now and LOVES to run "plays" with daddy. Too bad his mean mom won't let him play real football when he grows up! ;)

Visiting buddies in Louisville:

there was a gang of little boys at the park!

Heading to our new church building for the first time for a "Celebration Sunday" the week before its first official service.  We LOVE the new building downtown!

Benjamin loves to Facetime, so here's one snapshot of some Facetime with Uncle Jacob!

We headed to Rock Creek Farms with a bunch of buddies, and Benjamin had a BLAST going down the slide, jumping in the bouncy castle, visiting the farm animals, and running around.  (So much so that we went again when Mimi came to town!)

One of my friends/neighbors turned 40 and her friends threw her an amazing surprise party downtown.  Thankfully, I was able to go and celebrate (and had a great time out with the ladies... we even got to DANCE, when does that happen anymore?!).

These are my neighbor friends.  Awesome, right?

birthday girl!

This was the first service at church!

Avery does a lot of "hanging out" these days:

We go to the zoo to kill time:

We visit with Kari/Jeff/Noah/Fisher whenever we can:

Benjamin eats cheeseburgers all by himself:

We try to sneak over and see Baby Natalie if we can! (More on that in another post to come!!!)

We make visits to the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic once a month... Avery is doing ok so far despite a few digestive issues we're trying to figure out!

Benjamin loves having buddies over (as do I!):

Benjamin still loves the Broncos :) (We sent this to our Charger-fan friend Carly)

Benjamin LOVES when Mimi comes to visit!!!  I'm not sure where all my pictures are, but we had a BLAST and wish she could come ALL them time (though she's already been out three times for Avery, so I'd say we're SUPER blessed).

Matt & I took advantage of Mimi being here and had a delicious dinner in Lafayette at Post Brewery and finally saw Gone Girl (it'd been awhile since I'd stepped foot in a theater)!

Back at church - Benjamin and Adele like to hang out, clearly:

Daddy's first time on the worship team at the new location:

Just hanging out with grouchy face ;)

Painting pumpkins with mom and Mimi:

Benjamin is a whiz at puzzles, so Mimi brought him this EXTRA awesome one from Auntie Suzie OF Auntie Suzie!!!  He rocked it (with a little help).

(Here he is putting together a 12 piece puzzle all by himself!)

Of course Avery would fall asleep while Mimi gives her CPT, she usually cries through it for Matt and I every day!

Taking pictures at City Park

The next night we went to Sloan's Lake so I could take some engagement pictures of a couple and Matt/Mimi/Benjamin/Avery could play at the park.  It was a BEAUTIFUL night.

On Mimi's last day, we headed to Rock Creek Farms, and Matt was able to meet us there on his lunch break.  Benjamin (despite the cold weather) loved it once again!

Last night with Mimi... we hate when she has to go, she's such an amazing help and Benjamin just LOVES to play with her!

A few days later to help the sadness of not having Mimi around, Benjamin and I hit up the new Whale Exhibit at the museum... it was pretty cool!

And that's about it for now, aside from this cute picture of Avery and Natalie!!!
