Our supper group girls decided to do a camping trip months ago... what better than getting a date on the calendar to enjoy some time in the outdoors with the ladies? And then one girl drove across the country to visit her family, another girl decided to have her baby a wee bit early (more on that amazingness in a separate post!), and another girl was nervous about the previously mentioned early-born baby given that she's only weeks away from her own due date. SO, only five of us made it. And somewhere along the line, our camping trip turned into a regular old night away. At least it was in the mountains. So, we were outdoors, kinda. Occasionally.
Up to my folks' condo we went. Good old Frisco hosted us for the evening, and we had a great time. Lots of catching up, lots of good wine, a few non-repeatable conversations (or more than a few?), tasty meals together, an entire night of baby-free talk (mandated with consequences for rule-breaking), and overall a relaxing, hilarious, and fun time was had by all. As I've said so many times before in this blog, I'm so thankful for friendships like these, and I'm so thankful for time to really enjoy them to the fullest.
Here are some pictures from our "camping" trip. Clearly we roughed it.
