You are NINE months old (like a week ago). Holy cow, that's like ALMOST one. What!?
You are a little stinker (literally and figuratively), but we love you SO much.
And May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month, so we're getting ready for the Great Strides walk this weekend! So many wonderful people are showing up to support you. We got you this special shirt!
You've done a LOT this past month. Seriously, you're like a different kid in many ways! Some big things: you sleep through the night (hallelujah!), you feed yourself all kinds of different foods (you of course love puffs like every other kiddo), you started putting weight on your legs to "stand" (no, you don't crawl and frankly may never...), you are so much more interactive... the list goes on and on!
You were on antibiotics for a cold during our trip to Palm Desert, and you did get a small cold last week, but thankfully we didn't have to go back on them (they really make your tummy hurt!). So other than that you've been doing great! The docs have all been happy with your growth (you're at about 16.5lbs!), so that was great news to hear. You're up to 20K (4 capsules) of enzymes with your bottles and 2 with smaller "meals".
Some pictures and other things:
One lucky morning, you and your brother were BOTH still sleeping at 7:50am. It was a small miracle.
Oh, but you still have MAJOR separation anxiety. We thought it might have gotten better after your survival of dad and mom's trip to Washington, DC (you were SO great for Amber, Kari, and Mimi the whole time!). But alas, that was a fluke. You pretty much hate everyone. It's sad :(
But you still LOVE your brother. And one of your guys' favorite activities is sitting in the wagon to play. You just love it!
Well and actual walks in the wagon too...
You had fun playing with your buddy Cyrus who came to visit and is almost one month older than you. We wish he and his brother Boaz were still around to play with all the time!
You loved having Mimi in town while dad and mom were gone. And you love taking baths with your big bro.
Benjamin wanted to play duck, duck goose with you. So he brought his stuffed buddies out and played with you. It was SO cute!
You loved banging on the drums at the museum!
You love sitting in the high chair!
...and feeding yourself! (which may be why you hate taking the bottle lately...)
You learned a new "trick":
We can't wait to see what the summer brings! We love you sweet (and fussy) Avery Virginia. <3 p="">
Love,
Mom & Dad3>
