Thursday I drove up to Vail to second shoot at a wedding for my wonderfully talented friend Mackenzie (www.mackenziemariephotography.com). I left the sweltering heat of Denver only to find low 40s around the Eisenhower Tunnel and RAIN! It was so bizarre (and I felt so bad for the wedding I was heading to!). It was pretty crazy after having been in heat and blue skies for the past few weeks!
It started to clear a bit before the ceremony!
And Mackenzie and I tried to barter our photography skills for Taylor Swift tickets :)
And by the drive home, the skies were blue. Isn't Colorado crazy!?

And we were lucky enough to have some of our favorite people in town for the night!! Rachel and John flew in from MI and stayed with us Friday night before heading to a wedding in the mountains on Saturday. It was so awesome to get to spend time with them!! We did a little happy hour in the backyard to start of our time together:
And you already know what happened Saturday night. BEST NIGHT. :)
Sunday we headed into Boulder for a little nature and a little Avery (Brewing, that is.). :) It was a gorgeous (and hot) day!
Avery was actually "coloring", which is something Benjamin didn't do til he was much older (in fact, he still doesn't like coloring much). It was nice to find another activity to buy time with ;)
Monday we met up with Bryan and Matt for lunch at the Source!! Wish we could've gotten more time with them, but it was great to get what we could :) Love these two. (And Bryan even got Benjamin this sweet Spiderman hoodie!)
That evening to went to the park for a little play time to close out a great weekend. So lucky to live where we do!
