In the meantime, I thought I'd share a few pics/videos from our time at the pool in Taos (pre-rain). We stayed at a terrific place downtown (Worldmark) and the pool was just outside our suite! We thankfully brought all of Benjamin's "gear" (minus the floating thing that we borrowed from Noah), and off we were early Saturday morning.
Swimming is yet another one of those things that I'm sure parents and books love to give their opinions on and they're probably never the same opinions. And to be honest, we have no clue what's the best way to help Benjamin love the water and eventually want to learn to swim.... So, we dunked him a few times anyway. Perhaps it was thanks to the home videos on NBC last week of little baby Missy Franklin being thrown into the pool at five months old, or the talk of Michael Phelps swimming and not getting enough when he was just a baby... whatever it was, we thought 7 months was a good age for Benjamin to get his first taste of pool water ;) Sorry Benjamin! Hope you don't hate us!
