March Madness/St. Patrick's Day

March is most certainly upon us: gorgeous weather, March Madness, and St. Patty's Day.  So. Much. Fun.

It's been an absolutely awesome week of weather... 70's every day!  BW, Lincoln, and I have enjoyed walks around the neighborhood and one nice long one at Wash Park with a friend.  I was sweating halfway through!

so sunny we needed a sun hat!
Lincoln was beyond thrilled for the nice long walk at Wash Park!
Having attended both Kansas and Colorado during my undergrad, my heart was torn at the start of this year's NCAA Tournament... I have long sworn my basketball allegiance to Kansas and football allegiance to Colorado, but that deal was made when those things were a no brainer - Colorado wasn't good in basketball and Kansas wasn't good in football.  This year, Colorado finally made the tournament, so my personal billboard little guy was forced to wear attire supporting both teams.

We were SUPER excited when Colorado beat UNLV in the first round to advance, but sadly, they lost two days later to the Baylor Bears.  Benjamin wasn't super interested in the games, and fell asleep during the first half of the Baylor game.  That's probably what sealed their fate.

Thankfully, Kansas just advanced to the Sweet Sixteen (with an extremely lucky win over Purdue!), so BW will get to keep cheering on the Jayhawks for now!  He's been doing a great job so far :)

Saturday was St. Patrick's Day, and with a couple friends of ours in the parade downtown, we thought it was the perfect day to take Benjamin to his first parade.  The city was packed and the weather was gorgeous, but unfortunately we learned all too quickly that people turn MEAN in parade crowds.  I mean, MEAN.  It was quite a scene to say the least.  But overall, we had a great time and even snuck into Freschcraft for a drink and some delicious lunch before heading home.  Benjamin did a great job in the Baby Bjorn all day (as did his dad!), and it was a fun memory.

had to pause for some BW grub time

Seeing our friends with the Denver Gaels:

That's all for now - Benjamin has been doing great with his new formula and we've been able to get on a pretty good "schedule" for the most part (with him even getting about 6 hours of solid sleep last night!!).  He smiles more and more every day (which of course I rarely catch on camera because I always want to soak up the time with him), and he seems to be growing like a weed :)  What can I say, I'm smitten.

A cute pre-bed smile:
