Bryan brought a bunch of DC friends to CO for a visit (and to show off our awesome state, of course), so we were very grateful that Kristyn (Benjamin's "girlfriend") was able to babysit him on Friday night so we could hang out with everyone downtown. Being 31 and a mom, it's rare that we actually make it out downtown anymore, but we had a blast. :) (Sorry, forgot my camera for that one...)
Saturday morning we headed to Boulder to see the McCreadys' new house (awesome!!!) in lower Chatauqua and head to campus for a little tailgating with the out-of-towners. It was a very hot day, but Benjamin absolutely loved all the attention and seemed to have a great time :) Thankfully, we did not go to the game... as I'm sure you could guess, the Buffs were slaughtered. Yet, I still shout "Go Buffs!!!" with pride! :) In lieu of the slaughtering, we headed to the mountains...
Thanks for visiting us, Uncle Bryan!
Too dark for pictures Friday night...
But a great day Saturday for pictures in gorgeous Boulder!

Our church knows a family that rents out this spectacular house in Pinecliffe to groups like ours, so we were very fortunate to be able to spend the weekend with our supper group in such a beautiful place. With four babies (and one on the way!), camping this summer just seemed a bit too difficult. We had a great time (despite only making it for half the weekend), but sadly forgot to take a traditional group photo. On the plus side, we did hold a Sunday morning worship time in the main living room, and that was pretty cool :)
Sunday evening, after doing a little work on our house to prep for inspection, we headed to the Bluebird to catch our favorite Denver band Churchill, who just got signed!! I seriously listen to their music all the time... if you haven't heard them, you should! The opening band (Barcelona) was actually great as well and even did a cover of Robyn's Call Your Girlfriend which won Matt over :) It was a great evening (despite having to leave early to get home for our babysitter who wasn't allowed to stay past 11pm. That's life these days!).
A little video of the two main singers singing a gorgeous song from the balcony:
Fun post Al! Man, when your supper group decides to have babies, THEY GET AFTER IT! ;) How cute to all be together in the mountains :) I can just FEEL the crisp fall weather in all of your pictures. LOVE IT :)
