This month's supper group was held on schedule despite the crazy road conditions. We ventured out to meet most of the group and had a good time catching up. Of course, I keep forgetting to get pictures of BW with all our friends, but we did catch these gems of BW with Uncle Joe in his new favorite spot.
During supper group, the ladies (well, Bri actually was the genius behind it) came up with a fabulous idea to make a foot reflexology appointment. Four of us went the next day (even Keri, who is 40 weeks pregnant tomorrow!!), and it was un-be-lievable. If you've never been, don't hesitate to stop in next time you see it somewhere (probably located in close proximity to your local asian market). It was 60 minutes of heaven, and only $25!!
Later on in the weekend, Matt and I thought it'd be fun to try and venture out for a walk in all the snow. We got BW all cozied up in his adorable winter suit (which is still about two sizes too big...), and tried out the Baby Bjorn on Matt... we didn't make it too far since we couldn't tell if BW was suffocating or not :) But score one for us for trying!
Sunday was a lazy day before we headed off to watch the Superbowl with some friends from church. It was fun (and funny) to be around so many little kids running around! We joked with the Westras that this is our life in a few short years :) (Their little one is due any day now! BW is excited to have a brand new friend so close in age!!)
notice the football pacifier :) |
Matt asked Keri to get him a beer... nevermind that she's about 40 weeks pregnant! |
I love this pic!! |

Here's a short video of Benjamin dancing to part of the halftime show by Madonna (Just Like a Prayer - I mean, who wouldn't want to dance to that??)
So all in all, it was a great weekend! Benjamin has been having fun exploring and meeting new people. He generally sleeps a lot when we're out and about, so no one believes us that he's a big crier at home. I'm not saying he cries all the time, but he sure does love to do it! :) His latest new "tricks" are rolling over from his stomach to his back (video proof below), and just today he started finally reaching for the little hanging animals (video proof below as well). These are pretty exciting things in his world! Now if only we could get him to actually take a nap in his own crib, we'd be pretty happy!
Here he is contemplating a roll over (isn't he cute??):
I barely caught the first half of the roll...
And then almost missed him finishing the roll:
And here he is reaching for different animals!
