It seems like yesterday you could barely keep your head up on your own, but yesterday, you sat up straight, ate some "delicious" oatmeal cereal, and put on clothes labeled "6 mos". That's right, big boy, that's because you are SIX MONTHS old! We couldn't even get a picture in the crib now that you're so big (and don't like to lay still anymore). Maybe next month we'll figure it out :)
This past month seemed to go by more quickly than any other. Now that you've tasted "independence" by sitting up and rolling over all the time, you seem to beam with pride at each new thing you figure out and conquer. It's been so fun watching you explore, but it's also been tiring! With the new growth spurts and new routines, you have become quite unpredictable and a little "cranky". You have developed quite the ultimate squeezable/kissable cheeks. :)
You like to take naps with the blanket that your Great Aunt Brenda made for you (and usually with Winnie the Pooh too):
And as I mentioned recently, you also now love to sleep with your face smashed into the mattress or on your belly in some way, shape, or form. My fear about that has been diminishing, so we let you be!
You want to roll onto your belly ALL the time. Even though you may not want to be there, I think you just like that you can. :)
A few days after your five month birthday you started figuring out how to sit without slumping to the ground. And now? You LOVE sitting up. Don't care when, don't care where.
You look like a mini-me of your dad quite often :)
Toys: you still love the old staples (sophie the giraffe, george the elephant, sergio the duck), but you also love "chew toys" now including your set of keys, Wally the butterfly, and some "teethers" that we often have on hand. Toy or not, nothing escapes the mouth of Benjamin. You also love playing with the "piano", though even that ends up in your mouth too!

You love sitting in big boy chairs now so we often have you in your high chair or the fun table chair we have up in the kitchen. You look SO big sitting there playing with your toys.
You just started using the awesome backpack carrier that Aunt Amber got you before you were even born! Pretty sweet ride!!
You didn't love the rice cereal we started you on, so we moved on to oatmeal cereal and you seem to be liking it much more! Sometimes you even grab the spoon to try and feed yourself!
You still love bathtime. And just to remember how small you used to be, here's a quick comparison from when you were just four weeks old to almost 6 months in the same tub!

Other things of note:
* Jumper - yep, you still LOVE it, and when you're mad, you bounce extra fast and hard like a crazy baby. It's hard not to laugh. I'll get a video of this at some point.
* Stats - your next doctor's appointment is this week, so I'll update once I have those! You're getting big, though, that's for sure!
* You like to scream. Well, it's more of an odd squeal, but you like to do it to get our attention if you're feeling neglected.
* Your sleep has unfortunately regressed... but I think it may be due to the onset of teething. I guess time will tell!
* Nicknames: Pooh Bear, Crank Master McGee, Bubba, Wild Beast, Wild Man
We love you little Benjamin Willys! And I love watching you grow before our very eyes, little cutie!
